ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to develop STEAM education program in which the middle school students can easily understand IoT technology in connection with the curriculum and can strengthen an interest in SW technology‧engineering. That is because of being able to affirmatively contribute to cultivating the creative‧convergent thought and the cooperative problem-solving ability in learners, who will proceed with living in the era of the fourth industrial revolution, given developing and suppling a program of trying the user-customized design that makes a life convenient with passing through the design thinking process using IoT-based cutting-edge product(Cloudbit) in order to be possibly utilized in the field of middle school. A change in affective attitude was observed after demonstratively applying it to 212 students in the 1st grade of general middle school where is located in P city aiming to verify adequacy and effectiveness of the developed program. As a result of the research, the satisfaction with the developed STEAM class was high. A significant improvement effect was indicated in the aspect of an interest and personality in mathematical‧scientific technology and of a preference for a career choice in the engineering system.
