International Journal of Silver Technology for Aging Society (IJSTAS) provides a chance for academic and industry professionals to discuss recent progress in the area of silver technology for aging sociey. Today, approximately 10 percent of the world’s population is over the age of 60; by 2050 this proportion will have more than doubled. Advances in technology are bringing about remarkable improvement in the quality of life for older people, especially those with disabilities, while emerging technological advances enhance the possibility of aging-in-place, easing caregiver responsibility, and assisting older adults to communicate with the demands of daily life. We are naming the technology for older people ‘Silver Technology(ST)’ briefly. Manufacturers everywhere are taking steps to research the needs of this population so that they can transform those needs into products to better accommodate their physical changes experienced by older people.
