ABSTRACT

This study evaluated the effects of CEOs’ characteristics and technological innovation on social responsibilities using the panel data of listed Chinese companies from 2010 to 2017. The results of this study showed that the technological innovation of listed Chinese companies had a positive impact on social responsibilities, and the positive effects of technological innovation on social responsibilities became larger with a higher CEO’s education level, a longer CEO’s tenure, and when a CEO and a chief director was the same person.
