ABSTRACT

This study was conducted on college students to self-determination, major suitability, lecture immersion, and their relationship. The data collected from 173 college students in G-province in December 2020 using Online questionnaires. The research tool is composed of 59 questions, measuring general characteristics, self-determination, major suitability, and lecture immersion in Online learning environments, and the collected data were analyzed using IBM SPSS WIN/25.0. The general characteristics were frequency, mean, and standard deviation, the difference of variables according to the general characteristics was analyzed by t-test and one-way ANOVA, and post-analysis was analyzed by Scheffe's test. The correlation between each variable was analyzed using Pearson's correlation. Self-determination had a positive correlation with major suitability and lecture immersion. Major suitability had a positive correlation with lecture immersion to improve lecture immersion in Online learning environments, it is necessary to provide customized class programs that consider learners' self-determination and major suitability. The results of this study can be used as basic data for the development of education programs that help improve the quality of Online classes and improve the lecture immersion of college students.
