ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to examine whether the attachment promotion program designed for infants in childcare facilities impact problem behavior in infants in childcare facilities and parenting efficacy in childcare workers. The program consisted of 8 sessions. This study verified the effectiveness of the program with 20 infants in childcare facilities (18 - 40 months of age) and 20 childcare workers of them. The pretest-posttest tests of the experimental and the control group was analyzed using the nonparametric Wilcoxon signed rank test. The results were that the attachment promotion programs reduced problem behavior in infants and increased parenting efficacy in childcare workers. This study is significant as it prevented behavioral programs by improving the attachment between infants and childcare workers in childcare facilities.
