ABSTRACT
As carbon emissions and energy consumption have increased in recent years, there is a growing emphasis on the importance of securing alternative fuels and developing and applying renewable energy technologies. In Korea, much research has been conducted on literature and case studies related to the construction of zero-energy complexes. However, most of the research comprise fragmentary case studies and many cities in Korea are not prepared to develop zero-energy towns. The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of new and renewable energy technologies in the context of zero-energy town development through domestic and international cases related to the concept of a zero-energy town.
