A Study on the Effect of Adolescent Self-Awareness on Peer Attachment

The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of self-identity, ego-resilience and self-esteem of adolescents affecting the formation and maintenance of attachment relationship such as peer communication, trust and alienation, and to suggest ways to improve the attachment relationship. To do this, we used the data from the Korea Child and Youth Panel Survey (2015). As a result of analyzing the effects of ego-identity, ego-resilience, and self-esteem on communication, which is a sub-factor of peer attachment, only ego-resilience was found to affect. Self-identity and ego-resilience influence trust. Self-esteem, ego-resilience, and self-esteem all affected alienation. As a result of analyzing the effect of self - recognition such as self - identity, ego - resilience, and self - esteem on peer attachment, Self - identity, self - resilience, and self - esteem all affected. Through these researches, it is necessary to provide affection and caring with the social supporters such as family, peer, and teacher to form a positive relationship with each other to help the formation of correct self-awareness.
