The Influences of Nursing Students’ Career Identity, Academic Major Satisfaction, Self-efficacy and Academic Self-efficacy on Adaptation to University Life

ABSTRACT
This research is a descriptive survey research study to identify the influences of career identity, academic major satisfaction, self-efficacy and academic self-efficacy on nursing students’ adaptation to university life. According to the results of the research, academic major satisfaction, self-efficacy and academic self-efficacy had a significant influence on nursing students’ adaptation to university life, but career identity didn’t. Academic major satisfaction and academic self-efficacy had a significant influence on the adaptation to university life, and self-efficacy, in particular, had the most significant influence. It seems that the improvement of undergraduates’ self-efficacy can contribute to living a stable university life.
