Coupling Identification Method for Coupled- Resonator Filters

    A Method has been identified for the determination of the nature of coupling between individual dielectric resonators. The proposed method is based on electric field orientation in the dielectric resonators. The method is appropriate for the coupling identification in complex filter design topologies, such as filters involving finite number of transmission zeros. The suggested method is easy and directs to analyze the coupling nature between dielectric resonators and can be applicable to any design topology involving dielectric resonators. However the proposed method is not limited to dielectric resonator filter but can be applied to any other resonator technologies like planar resonators in micro-strip, coaxial, etc.
